Description

This was drawn as a request for a friend who is of Japanese decent. I researched dragons to ensure I was drawing one with the appropriate characteristics to the culture. The only reference used for this image is for the Japanese characters within the ribbon (a request of the friend) and studying cherry blossoms from various photographs. Mechanical pencil, on 70lb paper.

neat...u should bring more contrast to the dragon so those flowers in his hand can be more focused
and more shading to the feet

on first view, i was a bit confused about the body.... looks a bit like "escher" you know? but there are two loopings in the body... he he ... its a very good drawing a little bit more contrast and its really fine.

very nice! Though a bit more description and a bit more contrast would be better..

I think the white parts of the dragon are maybe a bit too empty, I think I would have made them grey or black, but that's just me I guess.

The scales were a little tedius but then it was a nice break to do something so easy and repetative. Thank you for the comments!
